A message from Kansas State University's Global Campus
Aug 5, 2014 by Bill Harlan
Did you know that there are approximately 2,300 undergraduate and graduate students taking courses to complete online degrees through Kansas State University Global Campus from all over the country and world?
Our population is very diverse with adult learners from a variety of economic and cultural backgrounds. Some are returning to school seeking a career change. Others have already achieved success in their career but never completed that degree they started decades ago. Many want a K-State degree but are unable to pick up their lives and relocate. Online courses provide the convenience students need to earn a degree from anywhere, while balancing other responsibilities like families and careers. No matter how far away from Manhattan they may be, our students are excited to be Wildcats and are happy to be a part of the community and family that is K-State.
As groups and organizations invite new members, we hope you will consider distance students for the unique perspectives they can provide. In today’s world it is easier than ever to connect virtually and collaborate online with programs already supported by K-State like Zoom and OrgSync.
The Student and Faculty Services office within K-State Global Campus would be happy to help in any way as you think about the benefits of including distance students in your group or organization. Feel free to contact Maleah Lundeen, Student Services Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org or Jason Maseberg-Tomlinson, Director, at email@example.com if you have any questions.
