Want to save a life? Carter BloodCare needs to collect 1,100 blood donations every day - even during the summer - to have enough blood to help patients in hospitals and transfusion centers across the country. The Roll Up Your Sleeves and Give campaign seeks to increase blood donations during the summer months, a time when donations typically drop.

How does UT Dallas celebrate Earth Day? We celebrate with the biggest event of Earth Week, the Earth Fair! The Earth Fair features booths and interactive activities from student organizations, campus departments, and community agencies. There will be music, free earthy items, and good, clean, green fun!

Join the fair in the Visitor Center (VCB) Atrium from 11:00am-1:00pm.

The OSV is hosting a September bone marrow donor drive with Delete Blood Cancer in honor of National Blood Cancer Awareness Month. Common blood cancers like leukemia, lymphoma and multiple myeloma sometimes cannot be treated with chemotherapy alone. Many times a bone marrow or stem cell transplant is the patient’s only hope for treatment and survival.

The good news is that you can help! Almost 70% of transplants come from an unrelated donor...

Viva Volunteer takes place on Make a Difference Day, a national movement to improve the lives of others. Tomorrow the Office of Student Volunteerism, Student Leadership Programs, Tau Sigma and Phi Theta Kappa are hosting a Bone Marrow Donor Drive with Delete Blood Cancer. Student Volunteerism - Richardson Animal Shelter (Off-Campus)

Join the Office of Student Volunteerism as we assist the Richardson Animal Shelter with cleaning bowls, crates and pet toys. We will also walk dogs and socialize with the cats there.

We will meet in the Visitor Center Atrium at 9:00 A.M. and carpool to the Richardson Animal Shelter at 9:15 A.M.

Wear comfortable clothing and close-toed shoes. No flip-flops or shorts that are too short for your protection.

OSV March Book Drive

Hey Comets!

Join the Office of Student Volunteerism in gathering 200 books for Pegasus School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, a charter school in Dallas without a library for their elementary to high school students. All books (even textbooks!) for ages 5 to 17 years old will be accepted.

Donation boxes are located in the OSV office (SSB 3.600), Res Hall SW, Activity Center, McDermott Library and Student Union First Floor.
