Special Needs Carnival Signup 2017

The DSUSA Service Branch is excited for the annual Special Needs Carnival on Thursday October 19th, 2016 from 6pm-8pm. Setup will be at 5 pm. This event is put on for all special needs individuals and their families throughout the community. Rock The Mall Signup 2017

It's that time of year again! Rock the Mall is right around the corner. It will be Friday, October 27 at noon on the encampment mall between the Gardner Building and the McDonald. It is a competition between clubs and other organizations that sing a remix of the DSU school song. Campus to Community

This is our semi-annual Canpus to Community event, our largest service project of the semester. This semester we are partnering with Conserve Southwest Utah to aid in conservation efforts for our very own Red Cliffs Reaerve. Volunteers will assist in a cleanup effort for a portion of the Red Cliffs Reserve that stretches along Red Hills Parkway (from Pioneer Park to Snow Canyon Parkeay).

All volunteers will be provided breakfast the morning of and receive a t-shirt.

DSUSA Service, Dixie Serves and United Way Dixie are partnering up to help improve literacy in Southern Utah by hosting a book donation in exchange for breakfast and fun. We are asking for new books, or like-new books, to donate to local elementary schools. Anyone who donates will receive a breakfast as thanks, and enjoy children's reading from special guests.

Join us on Saturday, September 9th, from 9-11 am, in the Gardner Center Ballroom for "Books for Brunch". In connection with the 9/11 Day of Service, Dixie Serves is collecting books to help with local literacy efforts. Bring children's books to donate and enjoy free brunch and story time! We hope to see you there!!

9/11 Memorial

Students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to attend DSUSA's annual 9/11 memorial service in remembrance of those who have fallen and those who performed great acts of bravery. Speakers will address attendees about the significance and impact that 9/11 had on our nation. Also, a moment of silence will be given to honor all those who lost their lives that day.

Children's Museum Clean Up

St. George Children's Museum

Dixie State University is partnering with the St. George Children's Museum to kick off the year right. We will meet in front of the SAC at 5:30 pm for those in need of a carpool. We will arrive around 5:45 pm to the Children's Museum where food will be provided. Make sure to wear clothing that allows you to clean, paint, build and get dirty.

Homecoming Parade Entry Form 2017

We cordially invite you to participate in the Dixie State University Homecoming Parade on Saturday, October 28th!   Last year’s parade featured more than 100 entries and 3,000 spectators. 

Parade Line-up will be 9 A.M. sharp at the North University Plaza on 900 E. and 100 South. The parade will start promptly at 10:00 a.m.

Pizza and Politics: The First Taste - The Importance of Getting Involved

This event is to inform all students about what is happening in the political arena and to give them nonpartisan and unbiased information on politics at a local, state, and federal level. We will have FREE pizza for students so they can eat while learning and engaging with a presenter who will give a run down of political basics and why to get involved.  We are trying to reach out to any student but keep it open and appealing to students who can walk in and sit down in between classes....

Club Service Project Approval Form 2017-2018

Each Club is required to provide one service project per semester to stay active as a DSU charted club.  Clubs will receive merit money for their service project.  ALL CLUB SERVICE PROJECTS MUST BE APPROVED BY THE DSU COORDINATOR OF CLUBS AND SERVICE, TO RECEIVE MERIT MONEY.   This person can be reached at 652-7738 or on the second floor of the Gardner Center across from Student Government.  All service projects must include a minimum of 5 club members and...
