Omicron Zeta Chapter was chartered at Oakland University on December 20, 1980. Thirteen confident women decided to bring Delta Sigma Theta to Oakland with the idea that it would withstand the test of time. Being the first African-American Greek organization recognized on campus, the chapter's history is known for continuously upholding the glorious principles of the sorority. In December 2010, we celebrated 30 years on Oakland University's campus. The chapter continues to set the standard on campus.
