Selection Process

If your organization has selective membership, please describe the selection process.

Unlike other business fraternities, Alpha Kappa Psi does not limit membership to just students pursuing a degree in business or economics. Anyone can rush AKPsi, even non-business majors. We stress this point because we feel it is this unique characteristic that helps build our strong brotherhood. All that we require is that anyone interested in rushing have a 2.7 GPA or higher and demonstrate a strong interest in business, economics, or related fields.

After our rush process, we may or may not issue a bid to join our pledge class. If you receive and accept a bid, you are not yet a full member of Alpha Kappa Psi; you must successfully complete our pledge process. The pledge process is an 8 week program designed to test whether you are a good fit for our membership and our ideals as well as build lifelong friendships, organizational skills, resume building, interview skills and more.
