Welcome Week: Student Organization Programming
May 3, 2018 by Mizzou ORG
Student Affairs is making several changes to move-in and Fall Welcome events to make sure new students feel excited about the new semester and feel connected to members of the campus community. The days leading up to the first day of classes will be known as "Welcome Week," and each day will be filled with events and programming. The theme for events on Saturday is "Student Organizations".
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 18, Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) will have the opportunity to host events for incoming freshmen, transfer, and graduate students.
This is a great opportunity for RSOs to connect and recruit new students, as well as showcase the amazing things your organization does! To pull this off, we need organizations to submit programming ideas. Please complete this form to share your event ideas with us. General event guidelines include:
- Minimum of 2 hours per event
- Event must be free to participants
- Events should be tailored toward MU Students
- Events should be on campus*
* Exact location information is not required at this time. The Office of Student Engagement will assist selected organizations with finding a location for the event.
Don't sweat the small stuff right now — every detail does not need to be planned already! We are simply looking for event ideas and organizations committed to providing members to host the events. The Organization Resource Group (ORG) will reach out to selected organizations and help make the ideas a reality.
Please contact the Organization Resource Group (ORG) at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
