Spring 2016 SAC Application

**After the application deadline closes, you will be contacted by the SAC President, Christine Kelly, to sign up for an interview time**

Apply to be a member of the Student Activities Council for this year!  SAC is currently seeking 2 new members to start in the Spring semester of the 2016 school year.  Any student is eligible to apply, as long as they were enrolled at Xavier for the Fall 2015 semester. 

Requirements of a Student Activities Council Member: 
-Mandatory weekly meetings on Wednesdays from 3pm-5pm (must be available the entire time).  SAC members are expected to schedule accordingly for their classes and to work with instructors to find a different section or to create an independent study if a course conflicts with SAC meeting times.
-Complete a least two office hours per week in the Office of Student Involvement doing SAC-related work.
-Maintain a minimum of a 2.0 per semester and cumulative GPA while maintaining a good conduct standing defined as the absence of a probation sanction and the on-time completion of any existing sanctions to remain in good standing with SAC and the University.
-Serve on a SAC committee and attend its weekly meetings (one hour per week).
-Attend three training workshops (Spring, Fall and Winter).  
-Be willing to be part of and support an excellent event planning board and be actively involved in multiple events per semester.
-Make SAC your FIRST priority outside of class and able to commit for the full school year.

Part of this application requires new applicants to SAC to develop an idea for an event and to fully explain that event idea.  

**Interviews will be held the week of December 8th.  Pending the successful scheduling and completion of all interviews, new SAC members selected for this year's board will be announced on Friday, December 11th.**

New SAC members are welcome to begin attending SAC meetings following that announcement and will officially begin their term on January 13th.  SAC Meetings are held every Wednesday in GSC Room 214 from 3-5pm.  Please verify your schedule permits you to be in attendance from 3-5 for SAC meetings on Wednesdays.
