Welcome to the Running Club!
The UTD Running Club's focus is to create an environment where runners of all skill levels can train for upcoming competitions or just run with others that share their love of running. The club offers several practices a week and provides runners with the tips and tools they need to be successful at reaching their goals, as well as keeping them updated on competitions each semester. Whether you are looking to compete in races or run for the love for it, we can accommodate your needs. Come check us out!
Fall 2017 Practices:
Other than the weekly practices, we will also be having off-campus social runs every other week along with races for those with competitive spirit. Off-campus social runs usually consist of driving to nearby parks and having leisurely/casual runs. There is a monthly local race hosted by Dallas Running Club we participate in and numerous other races (5k, 10k, 15k, half-marathons, marathons) we compete in. We also aim to have two large races per semester that are partially compensated by the club. Check our Facebook page to keep up with events and news as it is our primary channel of communication (The Running Club at UT Dallas).
All practices currently meet around the north entrance to the Activity Center. (We congregate in the general vicinity. This is where the comet cabs drop you off by the Activity Center.)
Please also fill out a liability (Forms > Club Sports Fall 2017 Waiver). If you filled one out for the fall, please do this one as well; the university requires the waiver to be filled out on a semester basis.
Feel free to join us on Facebook.
