Petition for SGA Senate Position (pdf)
Senate elections are held in November of every year. Anyone interested in serving on Senate must be in good academic standing with the University and fill out a petition for their particular constituency. An individual may fill out more than one petition for different constituencies. A petition must be signed by students in that particular constituency. For example, when running for the position in the School of Business, all the students who sign it must be from the School of Business. Once a petition is completed, it may be turned in to the SGA office in JFK Student Center. Senate positions that do not need to fill out a petition are the executive board. The Executive Board is nominated from current senators. However, the entire student body gets to vote for all senate positions.
