The Florida Tech Pre-Med Club is committed to preparing undergraduate students for a career in the medical field. Students  from non pre-med majors who are interested in medical careers study are welcome. The club supports students in pursuit of all different kinds of healthcare careers whether clinical, academic, or administrative. Past members of the club have gone on to pursue careers as allopathic/osteopathic physicians, pharmacists, physicians’ assistants, and MD/PhDs.
There are three areas of achievement at the undergraduate level vital for success in medical professional school. These are excellence in studies, satisfactory performance on standardized tests (such as the MCAT), and medically related experience (such as shadowing physicians and volunteering at hospitals). The club has a wealth of contact information and an excellent network for shadowing local healthcare providers and for volunteering at local hospitals and rehab centers. The Pre-Med Club also offers study books and preparatory material for the MCAT and other standardized tests.
The Pre-Med Club conducts regular visits to medical schools and open houses. Physicians and other healthcare providers are regular guest speakers at club meetings. The club also participates in charity events such as Relay for Life. The Pre-Med Club is one of the best resources for Florida Tech students. So, if you are interested in a medical career and are looking for some like-minded people, check us out!
