Leadership Lunch Series with Guest Speaker Courtney Shields
Courtney Shields is a graduate from the University of Montevallo where she received her Masters of Education in Counseling with a concentration in Couples and Family Therapy. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a National Certified Counselor.
Courtney is the founder and owner of Purposed Hope Counseling Services where she works with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. She has worked with the University of Montevallo counseling services department as a part time counselor and a former Mental Health Professional at Julia Tutwiler Prison for Women. Courtney enjoys opportunities where she gets to advocate and educate others on mental health issues that impact us as individuals, our families and the community.
Leadership Lunches are a monthly lecture series intended to provide leadership training to Samford students through a 30-minute, seminar-style presentation. It is our hope that these presentations are interactive and encourage open dialogue among participants. Free lunch will be provided for the first 40 students who register each month.
