Leadership Lunch Series: There's nothing "fake" about it - why words matter with Victoria Knierim
Leadership Lunches are a monthly lecture series intended to provide leadership training to Samford students through a 30-minute, seminar-style presentation. It is our hope that these presentations are interactive and encourage open dialogue among participants. Free lunch will be provided for the first 40 students who register each month.
This interactive seminar will help students gain a better understanding of the impact rhetoric has on their lives. Students will have an opportunity to evaluate how rhetoric influences them as consumers, as citizens, and as leaders. Students will be challenged to examine the ethics of their own rhetoric. They will discover why it is important to examine their own particular angles of vision before they begin working to affect change in others. We will discuss the power of rhetoric and the tremendous opportunity and responsibility leaders have to use that power for good and not ill.
