Leadership Lunch Series: Christian Leadership Where you Live, Work, and Play with Nathan Kirkpatrick
Leadership Lunches are a monthly lecture series intended to provide leadership training to Samford students through a 30-minute, seminar-style presentation. It is our hope that these presentations are interactive and encourage open dialogue among participants. Free lunch will be provided for the first 40 students who register each month.
This talk is based on leadership/work/life content from our "Christian Leadership in Sport" course within the Sport Administration program. Specifically, the content is derived from Pastor Tim Keller's book on work "Every Good Endeavor: Connecting your Work to God's Work".
This talk aims to help students see their work, relationships, and interactions from a clearly biblical perspective as part of God's greater plan for human flourishing and Kingdom advancement. Specifically, this talk will focus on Gospel-Saturated Leadership that starts with us seeing how we can only lead effectively once we understand better how God has created, equipped, and designed each of us to play a crucial role in God's larger story. These truths lead to confidence that we can lead people through biblical love and service because we first know why God has made us in His image and Called us to our roles for redeeming the world around us.
