Student Organization Annual Registration is now Open

  1. What are the Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines that Student Organizations need to follow?
  2. How does an Organizations complete the Annual Registration Process?
    • One of the administrators of the organization's OrgSync portal needs to complete the organization profile (under “Settings” on the top menu of the portal). All fields must be complete and accurate.

    • To complete the annual registration process, your student organization must complete the following items.

      1. The President must complete the Student Organization Leader Training Form (https://orgsync.com/31718/forms/75998).

      2. The President must acknowledge their leadership in this organization by completing the acknowledgement request sent to them from OrgSync via email.

      3. The Vice President must complete the Student Organization Leader Training Form (https://orgsync.com/31718/forms/75998).

      4. The Vice President must acknowledge their leadership in this organization by completing the acknowledgement request sent to them from OrgSync via email.

      5. The Treasurer must complete the Student Organization Leader Training Form (https://orgsync.com/31718/forms/75998).

      6. The Treasurer must acknowledge their leadership in this organization by completing the acknowledgement request sent to them from OrgSync via email.

      7. The Secretary must complete the Student Organization Leader Training Form (https://orgsync.com/31718/forms/75998).

      8. The Secretary must acknowledge their leadership in this organization by completing the acknowledgement request sent to them from OrgSync via email.

      9. The Advisor (a full-time, permanent CSU facility or staff member) must complete the Student Organization Advisor Training Form (https://orgsync.com/31718/forms/111183).

      10. The Advisor must acknowledge their leadership in this organization by completing the acknowledgement request sent to them from OrgSync via email.

      11. The group must complete the Agency Account Form (https://orgsync.com/31718/files/248371/download).

  3. What is the deadline for completing the Annual Registration Process?

    • Your organization must complete this registration process within 15 business days of starting the process OR by March 20, 2015, whichever date comes first. If this deadline is not met, the registration will be rejected and the process must start over.
  4. Wow. There is a lot of information in the training. What other way can I learn this information?
    • In-person trainings for individuals, leaders, advisors, or whole organizations are available by request. Please contact Bob Bergmann, r.bergmann@csuohio.edu, to schedule a training.
  5. My organization was registered last year, do I need to register this year?
    • Yes, all organizations need to complete the process of registration every fiscal year and whenever new officers are elected. So, if your organization has not registered since July 1, 2014, then you need to register.

  8. How do I start a new student organization?
    • First, make sure you become familiar with the Student Organization Resource Manual. Then, submit an Application for New Student Organization Recognition (https://orgsync.com/31718/forms/75961). Please note the application dates.
  9. How do I submit a change in my organization’s constitution?
  10. My organization would like to apply for desk space or storage space in the Student Organization area (SC 350)?
    • Applications are not currently available. There will be applications available in early September. These will be announced via the OrgSync email.
  11. My question was not answered here, what should I do?
