Spread the Word... Graduate Assistantship Position Open in Student Life

The Department of Student Life has an open position within Student Activities for the 2018-2019 academic year. The open position, Graduate Assistant for Student Activities, would begin work in the Department of Student Life in June 2018 at an hourly rate for 20 hours per week and then continue into the academic year.  The position works directly with the Campus Activities Board planning around 80 events per year and also assists with the planning of major campus events including Camp Vike, Magnus Fest, and Homecoming. 


  • 3.0 Cumulative GPA or ab​​ove
  • Admitted to a degree-seeking graduate program at Cleveland State University (non-degree status ineligible)
  • The ability to work 20 hrs/week starting June 2018
  • Ability to work nights and weekends assisting with events 
  • Availability to be on site (overnight) at Camp Vike Sunday August 12th – Tuesday August 14th, 2018
  • Availability to be on site at Magnus Fest on Saturday August 25th, 2018
  • Availability to be on site for Homecoming events Monday September 24th – Friday September 28th


  • Full-time, resident tuition covering the minimum 9 semester credit hours at the graduate level for Fall and Spring semesters
  • Stipend for the academic year based on a schedule developed by the College of Graduate Studies
  • Hourly pay for the summer employment period (20 hours per week, June-August)
