ABOUT SIMPLY THREE

With innovative arrangements that blend classical style with today’s popular songs, Simply Three produces cutting-edge recordings, music videos, and live performances that are drawing worldwide attention.  Comprised of violinist Alex Weill, cellist Zack Clark, and bassist Nicholas Villalobos, Simply Three came together in 2010. They released their first self-published album in 2011 and have earned critical and popular acclaim across the United States.  Hailed by the Boston Philharmonic, “They’ve got what it takes,”  Simply Three is capturing the essence of the classical crossover genre.  By incorporating their classical virtuosity and captivating style, they have created a renewed excitement for instrumental music.

Songs they perform include a variety of invigorating arrangements of popular songs by  Adele,  Coldplay,  One  Republic, Michael Jackson, Snow  Patrol, and Imagine Dragons, to name a few. Each member of the trio is personally dedicated to enhancing the classical crossover music experience and educating the next generation of musicians. Their commitment to musical excellence, entertainment, and fresh approach to fusing pop and classical music, have inspired thousands of audiences across the nation.

Their two most recent music videos were featured on The Huffington Post, where senior editor William Goodman subtitled their Christmas Song, “The Only Christmas Song You’ll Ever Need To Hear,” and where writer Cate Matthews stated of their newest video, “The Most Beautiful Version of Imagine Dragons’ ‘Demons’ yet.”

Simply Three’s upcoming projects include a new collaboration with members of Janelle Monáe’s band, as well as a new, full-length pop album. The album will feature brand new covers of song by artists such as Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Muse, Swedish House Mafia, Alex Clare, Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, and more.

Simply Three is sponsored by Eastman Strings and is represented by the Dow Artists Agency.
