Organization Overview

The UCD Painting & Drawing Guild’s objective as a student run organization is to offer club members opportunities in the practice and theory of painting beyond the classroom, to further their development as artists. Activities of the club will focus on enhancing students’ knowledge of techniques and materials and expose them to the range of new and experimental approaches through their investigation of the contemporary art scene in Denver and beyond. Planned events include invited speakers and critics, peer to peer and group critiques, student-run Open Life Drawing sessions, juried exhibitions, First Friday Gallery Walks, community and fundraising events and other experiential opportunities that exist beyond the campus, such as travel to major art centers such as Chicago or New York.
