The Sport Clubs Council serves as the representative body for the Sport Clubs Program. The role of the Sport Clubs Council is to make recommendations, offer advice, feedback or make suggestions, promote the Sport Clubs Program, problem solve, fund-raise, and assist with the decision-making process in matters affecting Sport Clubs at Sacramento State. The Sport Clubs Council is made up of one representative from each Sport Club (Competitive and Recreational Clubs). Clubs are encouraged to elect a representative and an alternate as attendance at each Sport Clubs Council meeting is mandatory with sanctions for missed meetings. Additional club members are encouraged to attend but are not eligible to vote on issues or participate in deliberations except under time set aside for public comment. They serve as liaisons between club members, the Executive Council and the Sport Clubs Coordinator. The Council will meet on a monthly basis during each semester. The Sport Clubs Council advises the Sport Clubs Coordinator in administering the Sport Clubs Program. The council serves as an advisory committee representing all sport clubs. It exists to promote participation in the program and has the primary goal to provide a medium for the exchange of information regarding club activities, policies, financing, discipline and procedures.
