Organization Statement of Purpose

This statement will be used to describe what the organization is about to those looking for or at student organizations to join or work with.

NSMJC is a campus recognized organization, sponsored by ASI, which provides a forum for networking and collaboration among student leaders in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics as well as providing an avenue for the student voice.

NSMJC gives student leaders within the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics the opportunity to share ideas, plan joint events, and discuss student issues.

The purpose of Joint Councils is to serve as umbrella organizations for the clubs within their respective colleges. They provide a forum for networking and collaboration among the clubs for the purpose of organizing joint events and finding ways of enhancing student life. In addition, they also serve to strengthen student organizations within the college by collectively applying for grants and scholarships.

NSMJC consists of officers of clubs and organizations within the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics as well as students at large within the college.
