An Africentric organization striving to break cultural barriers between race and ethnicity in order to connect peoples of the African Diaspora. Through community engagement, purposeful programming, and service, BSA@GSU aims to elevate consciousness amongst members of the Georgia State University community who identify with or are interested in Black culture regardless of nationality. We are not just another student organization, we are a collective. In order to excel to the next level we need passionate people with the desire to push the boundaries and make people listen.

Organization Purpose Statement

The mission of the Black Student Alliance is to promote personal and professional development as well as academic growth among students of African American descent and African ancestry at Georgia State University. Black Student Alliance will serve as a catalyst to the Black community promoting unity, enhancing self-appreciation, and cultural awareness.

Selection Process

In order to become an active member of Black Student Alliance, a student must be enrolled at least part time with a total of six credit hours.
