    • Interactive workshop that bases interventions on the proper understanding of these complex issues, gets real about social pressures to not intervene, challenges students to identify which options are both effective and realistic, and shifts the paradigm to increase the likelihood of effective intervention.

LADIES CAN CHOOSE FROM ONE OF THE FOLLOWING BREAKOUT SESSIONS TO ATTEND:

  • Parliamentary Procedure with Dave Kelly             President’s Room
    • Parliamentary procedure is intended to facilitate discussion and protect the rights of the minority voice in debate. Too many times, though, it can be used as a weapon by students who are better versed in than others. Everyone who attends receives a guide to parliamentary procedure that should put all members on an equal footing and be able to reference the proper way to conduct discussion and votes in meetings.
  • Orgsync training with the Student Life N-Siders         Computer Lab
    • Did you know that Orgsync can help promote your events to social media?  Did you know that you can assign digital To Do lists to your members through Orgsync? Find out more what Orgsync can do for your organization through this training.
  • Running Better Organizations with SAB                       Cane River Room
    • Learn how to conduct fun and productive meetings, how to recruit new members and keep current ones interested!
  • CWC with Chief’s Caliste & Vercher                              SU Room 221
    • The goal of Conversation with Cops or CWC is to have an open dialogue between Law Enforcement and the Community we serve.  Our first topic will be about traffic stops and what actually takes place and what an officer is legally obligated to do.  Questions and comments are welcome.  Talking with one another is the only way that our relationships and community can grow into a safe and thriving community.
