Membership Criteria

Section 1. All Lamar University, Lamar Institute of Technology, Lamar State College Port Arthur and Lamar State College Orange students, who are officially registered and are interested in E.I.A. are eligible for membership.

Section 2. Must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 every semester. GPA’s will be checked by the advisor at the end of every semester. Lamar Institute of Technology, Lamar State College Port Arthur and Lamar State College Orange students have the responsibility of presenting their GPA to the advisor at the end of the semester before the start of the next full semester or the student will automatically be put on probation.

Section 3. Must maintain an attendance record of at least 75% of ALL E.I.A. meetings throughout the semester and an attendance record of at least 50% of ALL E.I.A. hosted events and fundraisers.

Section 4. Must pay membership dues in full by specified date.

Organization Constitution

Please upload your current constitution in PDF or Word format. If you do not have a constitution, contact the Office of Student Organization Services for an example. If constitutions are amended, organizations must bring a copy of the new constitution to the Office of Organization Services located in Setzer Student Center, Room 260 for the files.
