Coffee Hour

Coffee hour is where we get together with a professor or two for an informal chat. Feel free to ask the professor about their research, what interests them about physics, or whatever other interesting questions we can come up with.

Physics and Astronomy Department Picnic

GSU Recreation Center Pool Patio

This is the annual department picnic. Students, faculty and staff alike are invited to join in barbecue, games and fun on the patio outside the pool at the GSU rec center. Students should RSVP attending so that we can plan for food. Faculty need to RSVP as well (send email to mhaddad2@student.gsu.edu).

We will be spending the night observing the night sky, having a cookout, telling ghost stories, making smores, and enjoying the outdoors!

STEM Mentorship Program for female students ages 14-21

The Huffington Post is introducing a new STEM mentorship initiative, in which they connect high school and college-age girls with an interest in science and engineering to female leaders in these fields.
