Organization Overview


The overall mission of Africology NOW is to establish a strong foundation of knowledge and wisdom in the field of Africology and African Diasporic Studies, through panel discussions, workshops, and newsletters. Further, the organization seeks to encourage students to use knowledge gained to not only grow within themselves, but to be active and influential in the growth and development of African descended people, through community activism and outreach. Additionally, Africology NOW seeks to promote Africology as a major and minor.

PURPOSE:

Our purpose is to encourage the study of Africology as a minor or major, and perpetuate a positive image of Africa to the UWM community.

ACTIVITIES:

Summarize organizational events, activities and programs. (40 word maximum)

Our activities include providing different cultural activities, as well as, guest speakers that reflect Africa's culture and history.
