Club Overview

1) In conjunction with the Center for Student Leadership (CSL), SCU supports several types of student organizations including eight Chartered Student Organizations (CSOs) and over 150 Registered Student Organizations (RSOs or clubs).

2) SCU has delegated the responsibility of registering student clubs to the Associated Student Government (ASG). The Student Affairs Committee (SAC) of the ASG Senate approves new clubs and allocates student activity fees to all clubs.

3) CSL advises all clubs, provides leadership development resources, supports event planning, helps clubs manage financial transactions, and is the signatory authority for all forms, agreements, and contracts.

4) Each club is advised by CSL staff, and may have (at their own discretion) another faculty/staff advisor. This secondary advisor is not required, though.

5) If you have any questions about this registration process, contact Connie Chang at cychang@scu.edu.
