Benvenuti al sito del Italian Club!

Thanks for joining the Italian Club! We're excited you're here!

So, what does the Italian Club do??
In short, we are all about celebrating Italian culture! We can play bocce ball, learn to make pasta, pick up some key Italian phrases, watch Italian films and soccer games, and much more! It's all up to you and what you want to learn and celebrate about Italy!

Portal Information

Description

Ciao! Have you ever wanted to know more about Italy and Italian culture? Then join the Italian Club! There's a lot more to Italy than pasta and more to Italians than their hand gestures (although these things are important too!). We will explore Italian culture through food, language, sports, film and many other activities that we need your ideas to dream up! While we do this, we hope to build a community that values other cultures and learns from the diversity of others. Benvenuti!!

Club Overview

1) In conjunction with the Center for Student Leadership (CSL), SCU supports several types of student organizations including 9 Chartered Student Organizations (CSOs) and over 150 Registered Student Organizations (RSOs or clubs).

2) SCU has delegated the responsibility of registering student clubs to the Associated Student Government (ASG). The Student Affairs Committee (SAC) of the ASG Senate approves new clubs and allocates student activity fees to all clubs.

3) CSL advises all clubs, provides leadership development resources, supports event planning, helps clubs manage financial transactions, and is the signatory authority for all forms, agreements, and contracts.

4) Each club is advised by CSL staff, and may have (at their own discretion) another faculty/staff advisor. This secondary advisor is not required, though.

5) If you have any questions about this registration process, contact Samantha Kibbish at skibbish@scu.edu.
