Outdoor Events/Bonfire Request/Non-OC Room Reservations
Must submit at least 7 BUSINESS days before event.
Only one (1) bonfire will be approved per day. Bonfire requests should be submitted in advance to reserve the space and will take a minimum of 7 business days to process. However, the Fire Marshall will not approve bonfires more than one to two weeks prior to the event. You will be notified if your date is not able to be reserved. Otherwise assume your space is reserved and pending Fire Marshall approval no more than two weeks prior. Also understand that the Fire Marshall reserves the right to cancel bonfires at any time (even day of event) due to weather conditions.
Possession and consumption of alcoholic beverages are prohibited. Your organization is responsible for cleaning up after your event and for any damages incurred during your event.
You must provide your own firewood. Wood cannot be used from the property of Oakland University. All wood must be removed from the site at the end of the event. Charcoal cannot be used.
The bonfire must be completely extinguished by water at the completion of the event. Water is available at the site for use in putting out the fire.
The bonfire pit located by the P11 parking lot and the Recreation and Athletic Outdoor Complex (RAOC) is now re-opened. For the safety of the participants, be sure they are familiar with the area surrounding the Bonfire Pit. No vehicles can be driven on the upper fields or bonfire pit area at any time.
Non-OC Room Reservations
Rooms are available Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays since they are classrooms. Once in a while under extreme circumstances a room may be approved during the weekday. Rooms are not guaranteed for any request. While they request a 14 business day request period, a minimum of 7 BUSINESS days is required for all requests. Available rooms
