National Association for Ethnic Studies Conference 2018

The Ongoing Struggle: On Confronting White Neo-Nationalism, 21st Century Racisms, and Settler Colonialism

March 8-11, 2018 | Virginia Commonwealth University

"NAES is dedicated to host community members, leading activists, educators, students, researchers, and advocates whose activism and scholarship seek to directly challenge the ongoing global movement of white neo-nationalism and structural racism as well as everyday, yet equally subjugating, microaggressions - forms of racism in our daily interpersonal exchanges and lives."

This year the AS Vice President for Diversity and Academic Affairs are attending and taking a delegation of students. Lodging, airfare, and registration will be provided.

Delegates will be chosen based on the DETAIL of the application, and how their experience will be brought back to Western's campus. This work needs to be sustainable so we are looking for students who will be at Western for years to come to lead the implementation and revitalization of Ethnic Studies at WWU.

Applications are due on Thursday, February 22nd at 11:59PM.
