Spring into Service is your chance to get out into the community service project brings students, faculty, staff and community members together to work on necessary improvements in Highland Heights.
8:30 a.m. - check-in and breakfast on the first floor of the Student Union
9:00 a.m.- report to site
11:30 a.m. - return to NKU
12:00 p.m.- lunch, raffle and games
AA Roadside Clean-up - WNKU "adopted" 1 1/2 miles of Double-A Highway in Campbell County, KY near campus. Volunteers will clean-up trash along the roads. Gloves, bags and "grabby-sticks" will be provided.
Giving Fields - The Giving Fields is a community farm where fresh produce is harvested to benefit local food pantries and on-site feeding organizations. Volunteers will be planting crops.
Pantry of Hope - Pantry of Hope serves residents of Northern Kentucky and NKU students. Volunteers will be helping with some "spring cleaning".
Highland Heights Community Garden - Volunteers will be building a fence around the Highland Heights Community Garden
Highland Heights Gateway Beautification - Volunteers will be doing beautification work at the Highland Heights sign located at 471 and US27.
Highland Heights Mulching - Volunteers will be mulching various greenspaces around Highland Heights.
Home Improvements - Volunteers will be assisting with minor home improvements for elderly Highland Heights residents. All work will be performed on the outside of the homes.
