The Clemson University Graduate Student Government is the official representative of the graduate student body. The goals of CGSG are to:

 

-Increase graduate student involvement;
-Act as a liaison between the University and graduate students;
-Act as a channel for graduate students to collaborate and enhance their education; and
-Provide opportunities for graduate students to develop professionally and academically.

 

CGSG is managed by an Executive Branch of two elected officers and numerous appointed cabinet members. The Legislative Branch consisting of the Graduate Student Senate, holds the legislative power of the government.

 

To accomplish these goals, CGSG:

 

-Hosts monthly activities for graduate students;
-Holds athletic ticket promotions;
-Sits on numerous University committees and boards;
-Meets with the University President and other high ranking administrators;
-Provides Graduate Organization Support; and
-Offers Professional Enrichment Grants to graduate students.
