General Announcements for Students,
Faculty, & Staff

On Saturday, October 28th from 1pm-5pm Student Involvement will be hosting its annual Student Leader Academy. This event is a FREE, On-Campus Leadership Conference for ALL Texas Tech students to learn more about who they are as leaders, build their personal leadership skills, and make connections with other Red Raiders. The Student Leader Academy includes a welcome, educational breakout sessions, closing keynote speaker, and time for networking with other campus leaders. The Student Leader Academy is designed to impact everyone - from emerging, to accomplished leaders - so all Texas Tech students are encouraged to register and attend.

The Office of the President at Texas Tech University invites you to join us as we commemorate the narratives of Texas veterans of the Second World War who helped to liberate the concentration camps. The Texas Liberator Project, a research venture generously supported by the Texas holocaust and Genocide Commission, honors the desire of these liberators for a new generation to remember and learn the history of the Holocaust. The program will feature a visit to the exhibit and a presentation that shares some of the oral testimonies of the veterans and celebrates the global launch of the app and the website.

Student Org Officer Transition Workshop

Is your organization about to elect new officers? Are you a new officer and were not transitioned into your current position? One of the biggest mistakes as a student organization is to not transition your new officers into their position. Each year the officers work hard to ensure the success of the organization. If there is no transition from one set of officers to the next, then the organization will be starting from scratch and most of the time misses important dates and requirements to continue the success of the organization. Come learn about officer transition to ensure the future growth success of your organization.

Tuesday, November 7 - 4:00-5:00 PM SUB Lubbock room RSVP

Student Org Risk Management Training

All student organizations are required to attend a Risk Management Training each year. If your organization did not attend the Student Org Academy in the spring or attend one of the trainings this past April you need to attend one of the trainings this fall to avoid being disabled. Check the LIST to see if your organization has completed the training and required assessment. If you are sure that your organization attended a training in the spring then the attendee has not completed the assessment. Follow these INSTRUCTIONS to see how to find and complete the assessment. The date listed on the instructions is for the Student Org Academy so if you attended
one of the later dates in April find that date instead.
