Passionate Politics: The Life & Work of Charlotte Bunch

In celebration of Women's History Month, PASSIONATE POLITICS brings Charlotte's story to life, from idealistic young civil rights organizer to lesbian activist, to internationally recognized leader of a campaign to put women's rights, front and center, on the global human rights agenda. Charlotte has been both a product and creator of her times: every chapter in her life is a chapter in the story of modern feminist activism, from its roots in the 1960's struggles for social justice to international campaigns against gender-based violence today.

Ever want to ask someone about diversity but felt like you couldn’t? Come and engage in a conversation about all things Diversity and Social Justice. There will be a panel of diverse social justice advocates to answer any and all questions related to social justice in an anonymous and stress-free environment. Oh, did we forget to mention… it’s all done in the dark.

A Brave Heart: The Lizzie Velasquez Story
7:00 PM hosted by the Division of Undergraduate Education & Student Affairs, Texas Tech University College of Education, Texas Tech Honors College, and College of Human Sciences - Texas Tech University

A documentary following the life of Lizzie Velasquez, her triumphant journey to the other side of bullying, and her mission to inspire and empower a more positive online environment. After the film stay tuned for a Q&A with the director Sara Hirsh Bordo.
