Sacramento State Causeway Classic

Nov 18, 2015 by Student Organizations & Leadership

Sacramento State will be hosting this year's Causeway Classic. To keep the tailgate safe and enjoyable for all members of our community, there are some parameters that are being put in place:

  • DJs, bands or live entertainment will only be allowed with a written permit from the Division of Athletics. The tight clusters that form around live DJs make it difficult for Public Safety to monitor for safety. Amplified sound needs to be kept at moderate volumes. Any DJs that do not have a permit will not be allowed to play.
  • No glass bottles. Plastic and aluminum only, please.
  • No standing on top of vehicles.
  • No drinking games designed to promote rapid consumption.

Parking lots will open for set up only at 10:30 am. Tailgating (per university policy) may begin at 12:30 pm and must end by 2:30 pm. As always, public intoxication and underage drinking are illegal and violators of those laws will be subject to arrest.

Finally, it's our hope that all tailgaters will attend the game but for anyone who needs to leave, please know that Safe Rides has made arrangements to be available from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm on that day.
