Pre-Opt Club

Organization Overview

The Pre-Optometry Club is a philanthropic group dedicated to helping you excel as a student and to professionally prepare you for your admission into optometry school. Get to know your fellow members academically and socially! We offer study groups, club socials, OAT prep, networking opportunities, test banks, intramural teams, guest speakers, community service, and job opportunities in an optometry setting. The pre-opt club received 5 star rating last spring, which is the highest distinction an RSO can receive! We meet every first, third, and fifth Thursday of each month at 11:00am in STARR 233. Hope to see you there!

Selection Process

If your organization has selective membership, please describe the selection process. This may include a GPA requirement, try-outs, degree program, etc.

No requirements, but must have an interest in Pre-Optometry.

Philanthropy

Does your group have a fundraising, volunteer, or service initiative? Do you consistently work with a non profit organization?

We have many volunteer opportunities to get involved with! The biggest project we have is called "Vision Week" in which we put on a series of events over the course of a week in the spring to raise money for the Leader Dogs for the Blind foundation.
