LEAD Team 2018 Facilitator Application

Stetson University's LEAD Team (Leadership Education and Development Team) is composed of a select group of outstanding students dedicated to leadership development across the Stetson Community. This team of students focuses on developing, mentoring, and supporting student-centered programs designed around individual, group, and community leadership learning. LEAD Team oversees a variety of programs including Emerging Leaders, First Year Leadership Experience (FYLE), and Student Leadership in Community Engagement (SLICE). LEAD Team is also made up of two levels of student leaders (Facilitators and Assistant Facilitators) that administer and facilitate these programs.

As a LEAD Team Facilitator, the student will participate in multiple programs and training sessions including but not limited to:

  • Attend and participate in the LEAD Team spring retreat (March 24 - March 25, 2018)
  • Participate in Assistant Facilitator Group Interviews (February 5, 2018 - February 6, 2018)
  • Participate in spring training sessions (every Friday beginning January 19, 2018)
  • Participate in weekly LEAD Team Facilitator meetings (throughout spring and fall)
  • Facilitate and oversee the Spring 2018 training sessions for Assistant Facilitators (every Thursday beginning February 22, 2018)
  • Participate in project meetings and one-on-one meetings with the Assistant Director of Leadership Development
  • Oversee the development and facilitation of leadership initiatives at Stetson University
  • Partner with other LEAD Team Facilitators and oversee the work of LEAD Team Assistant Facilitators Develop campus and community partnerships
  • Work approximately 5 hours per week throughout the spring 2018 and fall 2018 semesters

Facilitator Requirements:

  • Candidates should be organized, possess strong facilitation abilities, and be skillful at communication
  • Candidates should have previous experience planning programs and facilitating events
  • Candidates should have a passion for leadership and be excited to make a lasting impact on the Stetson community Candidates must be in good academic and conduct standing with Stetson University
  • Candidates must have and maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher
  • Candidates must be full-time students throughout the 2018 Spring and Fall semesters
