Welcome to Ferris Idols! "Nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something!" Are you looking for a RSO that allows you to truly make a difference? Join Ferris Idols! We combine our passion of giving back to the community and enhancing the lives of kids in need, all while having a great time in the process!
What we do: Ferris Idols is an unique group that works to help aid in the personal development of the children in Big Rapids and the surrounding community. As an Idol you have the opportunity to make the difference in a child's life. Ferris Idols plans many seasonal events for the children, and in addition to the outings and parties we host, we have numerous fundraisers throughout the year and attend multiple cultural events as a group.
What you can do: As an Idol, you literally have the opportunity to change lives. You give the children we work with someone to look up to, you are serving as a role model which many of the children don't have in their lives. As an Idol you additionally have the opportunity to participate in lots of community service! By participating in our 5-Star RSO you can easily maintain the required 15 hours of community service needed for the honors program and even those aspiring for Initiative 125.
How to contact us: Our weekly meetings are held each Tuesday at 9:00 pm in FLITE, room 214. If you're not able to make it to our meetings, be sure to continue following us here on OrgSync, like our Facebook page simply listed under "Ferris Idols," or send an e-mail to Sam Simmons, our secretary (firstname.lastname@example.org). We hope to meet you soon!
Our mission stands with community service at our base. We are connected with the local community, acting as role models and mentors for children and having fun at the same time.
