Welcome to Pace University's Law Society!
We are a dual-faceted organization that consists of our namesake, Law Society, as well as a competitive Mock Trial Team. Here, students get the opportunity to meet and connect with their peers who share an interest in law and/or plan to attend law school. Students also get to attend unique events geared towards those interests and aspirations.
Members of the Mock Trial Team specifically will have the opportunity to participate in the annual American Mock Trial Association's regional tournament. At this tournament, Pace University's Mock Trial Team competes against other elite schools for a chance at making it to the National Tournament.
We exemplify the spirit of Pre-Law Students at Pace University. Throughout the year, Law Society holds events to bring students with an interest in law together over movies, law school preparatory sessions, and more! Students on the auditioned Mock Trial Team will have the opportunity to participate in the annual American Mock Trial Association's regional tournament, as well as other tournaments in preparation for this throughout the year. At this tournament, Pace's Mock Trial Team will compete against some of the elite schools in the nation. Pace Mock Trial resembles what one would see during an episode of Law & Order. Because of the need for witnesses to act, Mock Trial is much like theatre. In a Mock Trial, witnesses must be able to act and exhibit their character to a judge and jury. Attorneys in Mock Trial must have an understanding of the case, relevant law, and a multitude of other exciting formalities. We look forward to hearing from you!
