For Womxn’s History Month, WIBE is collaborating and co-hosting “Werk It Girl: It’s a Womxn’s World”, a celebratory event discussing the ways various womxn/femme identifying folks operate in the workspace, from corporate to creative to entrepreneurial. This event is being co-hosted with several other womxn/femme oriented organization on campus, such as the Asian American Women’s Alliance, Hermandad de Sigma Iota Alpha, and Peer Health Exchange. This event is meant to be informative without the pressure of calling it a ‘networking’ event. Attendees are college student femme/womxn identifying folks seeking advice and insight on how to combat racism, sexism, misogyny, and other microaggressions that exist for women, especially women of color, in their various workplaces.
