Hey guys we are really excited for another fantastic school year!! Capoeira is a martial art that shares the blending of cultures from West Africa and Brazil with a very unique history. Our club is all about Brazilian culture, martial arts, self defense, music, acrobatics, language, and much, much more!! Please join us at our club meetings at 7:30pm, every Tuesday and Thursday. Locations are not always the same so watch for the club email list. Also every second and last Tuesday of the month is at the Academy which is located at 1650 N. Scottsdale Rd. Axe Capoeira at ASU is affiliated with Axe Capoeira which is an international organization of capoeiristas begun in 1982 in Recife, Brazil. Grupo Axe Capoeira is renowned as a traveling group which promotes the history, music, art, and culture of Brazil in interactive and educational demonstrations. Additionally, ACASA will be affiliated locally with Axe Capoeira Arizona, which currently maintains academies in Glendale, Phoenix, Tempe, and Scottsdale.

All ASU registered student organizations must have a full- or part-time benefits-eligible faculty or staff member serving as an advisor. By entering your advisor's email, they will automatically be sent an electronic Advisor Commitment Form which they must complete for your registration.
An Advisor Commitment Letter electronically signed by the Advisor is a required part of finalizing the registration of your student organization. Make sure to follow up with them to complete.
