2019 Training Sessions

We are currently training in preparation for community events such as the Mothers Day Classic, Run MelbourneMelbourne Marathon Festival and Nationals. Our members have different goals and are working hard to run the 5.7km, 10km, 21.1km half marathon and the 42.2km full marathon! 

Tuesdays 4pm - 5pm (Speed Session)
Wednesdays 12pm - 1pm (Distance Session/social jog)
Thursdays 12pm - 12:30pm (socal walk)

Speed or Distance Session
Meet at The Track and get prepared to push your limits!
Speed Sessions are planned by our coach and suit individual skill levels, with no session ever the same. This training session usually includes a jog warm up to Melbourne Park track, stretching, a speed session, and a cool down jog back to campus. Distance Sessions include running at your predicted race pace, challenging your aerobic system, and bearing down for a slightly longer run. Running locations include Fitzroy Gardens, The Tan and Carlton Gardens.

Walking Club
Meet at The Track for a lunch time stroll or speed walk in the local gardens!
Walking Club is held once a week for a 30min lunchtime walk. Walks are lead by ACU Melbourne Running Club members and there are no restrictions on where you can/can't walk!


We have memberships for people at all fitness levels. Not a runner? Why not join our walking club!
