Dear Wayne State University Community:
In commemorating 150 years of academic and research excellence in Detroit, President Wilson announced the launching of a university-wide initiative as a testament to our unwavering sense of social responsibility and commitment to the community during this year of sesquicentennial celebration. This initiative is designed to engage and activate all of WSU's stakeholder groups, including students, faculty, and staff, in meaningful community service across the metro Detroit area. The goal – 150,000 volunteer comunity service hours in 2018.
Be sure to track your hours of service through the portal to earn service recognition, and support the University in achieving its goal of 150,000 hours of volunteer service this year.
Thank you for giving so generously of your time and for helping Wayne State University strengthen, nurture and make a difference in our community.
Wayne Cares is a university initiative that brings together the Wayne State community for the purposes of charitable giving and outreach. The primary goal of the Wayne Cares initiative is to help university units work together and collaborate with each other for the good of the community.
