Welcome to the SPSU Speech Team OrgSync page!

The SPSU Speech Team offers all SPSU undergraduate students the opportunity to learn and compete in public address and dramatic reading events. Team members choose from a wide variety of events and travel to tournaments to compete against undergraduate students from universities across the nation. Experience in competitive speech tournaments is a great way to build the presentation, research, critical thinking, and networking skills expected of college graduates. No prior experience is necessary to join the team.

The team currently meets on Mondays from 12-12:50pm in J-220A.

For more information you can contact us through OrgSync, email us or find us on Facebook. You can also contact the team's faculty advisor, Professor Kelsey Harr-Lagin.

Portal Information

The SPSU Speech Team brings students together with faculty members in the Digital Writing & Media Arts Department. We prepare for and travel to competitions with other universities across the Southeastern United States, where we compete in public speaking and dramatic reading events. We believe in every student's ability to improve her or his research, speaking, and networking skills through intercollegiate competition. Any undergraduate SPSU student in any major is welcome to join.
