 Facilitators@NUS

We are an award-winning club founded under the auspices of the Office of Student Affairs (OSA). As Student Facilitators, we serve the NUS community and beyond through facilitating opportunities, such as teambuilding programmes and self-developmental workshops. Through our continual efforts and new initiatives, we aim to become the premier Self-Development club in NUS.

So Why Facilitation? What Even is Facilitation?
In a very general definition, facilitation refers to being the bridge between people. That could happen while holding a project discussion, or simply during a talk with your friends. Facilitation exists in our daily lives, in some form.

Our Weekly Sessions
Our club doesn't just teach our members how to hold conversation with others. The art of Facilitation is a collective of many other skills. Our pedagogical mantra, Experiential Learning, seeks to impart skills to our members (Student Facilitators) through a hands-on approach. That means less dreaded lectures, more active activities! During each session, we take time to polish and master a large bank of teambuilding games, as well as skills a Facilitator needs, such as debriefing techniques. Sessions are conducted by our Club Advisors and seniors.

Practicing What We Preach
Our Student Facilitators have designed countless teambuilding programs for our diverse clientele, ranging from clubs and societies to a Secondary School! Each programme is customised to our client needs. On top that, we have also conducted camps, workshops, roadshows and even a kayaking expendtion! Need we say more?

Not forgetting the less fortunate and needy around and outside NUS, our members has also conducted various programs with numerous Voluntary Welfare Organisations (VWOs) and beneficiaries, such as rafting and ward visits.

More Than Just a CCA
Not all the time are we focused on bonding teams and its how to's. Our members are continually developed not only on a professional level, but also on a personal level. Through a mentor-mentee system, we are able to foster deeper and meaningful bonds among ourselves which last during and beyond our stay in the University.

An Award Winning Club
Our work is not without merit. Through the hard work done by the previous and present generations of Student Facilitators, our club has clinched the Award for Campus Vibrancy at the Student Achievement Awards, for 3 consecutive years!

Be a Student Facilitator
At Facilitators@NUS, our doors are always open for everyone, anytime. No prior experience is needed.

As a Student Facilitator, expect to acquire various skills sought after by the corporate world, such as adaptability, empathy, effective communication and critical thinking, along with the Facilitation skills you'll gain during your stay with us. Our members and Club Advisors will be here to guide you through step-by-step, to eventually be well-equipped to conduct a myriad of teambuilding activities!

Spice up your university life with Facilitators@NUS! Contact us at facilitators.nus@gmail.com if you're interested!

//OUR STORY
So why facilitation? What even is facilitation? In a very general definition, facilitation refers to being the bridge between people. That could happen while holding a project discussion, or simply during a talk with your friends. Facilitation exists in our daily lives, in some form.

But our club doesn't just teach our members how to hold conversation with others. We also learn how to understand others. Our pedagogical mantra, Experiential Learning, equips our members (Student Facilitators) through a hands-on approach. Less dreaded lectures, more active activities during our training sessions! These activities primarily take the form of teambuilding games. By mastering the conduct of a large bank teambuilding games, our Student Facilitators acquire various soft skills, such as adaptability, empathy, effective communication and critical thinking - skills that are highly sought after in our ever-changing corporate climate.

We put what we practice into action. We have designed countless teambuilding programs for our clients, ranging from clubs and societies to a Secondary School! Each programme is customised to our clientele needs. On top that, we have conducted camps, workshops, roadshows and even a kayaking expendtion! Need we say more?

Not forgetting the less fortunate and needy around and outside NUS, our members also conduct various programs with numerous VWOs and beneficiaries, such as rafting.

All in all, our club strives to become the premier self-development CCA in NUS, where its doors are always open for everyone, and for anyone who is willing to unleash their potential for greatness!
