Join MSS for a talk and Chicken Shack lunch Thursday, March 8 at noon in MSC 378. Professor Shillor will speak about his recent research into the spread of the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS). It is a very virulent disease that is spreading the the Middle East, especially in Saudi Arabia. The mathematical model is in the form of a system of nonlinear Ordinary Differential Equations (ODEs). He will describe the construction of the model and discuss the math involved. Also, a mathematical model for the dynamics of a population of Wood Frogs will be discussed. Hope you will be there!
