Residence Life Student Leaders are responsible for addressing a variety of issues, including, but not limited to peer counseling, conflict mediation, community development, administrative tasks, policy enforcement, and program planning. These positions demand commitment, cultural competency, compassion, maturity, and dedication. In exchange, students in these positions will gain experiences, skills, and friendships that will impact them and those around them for the rest of their lives.

The minimum requirements for all positions are:
- Full-Time Enrollment; 12 units/semester if undergraduate student, 7 units/semester if graduate student
- 2.5 semester and cumulative G.P.A. if undergraduate student, 3.0 semester and cumulative G.P.A. if graduate student
- Applicants must have lived on campus at least one year or have comparable experience
- Applicants must be in good academic, financial, and judicial standing with the University and Housing & Residence Life
