AGAPE Retreat Application (option to be part of lead team) - May 4-6, 2018
Are you looking for a meaningful way to share some space and conversation with your peers?
ATTEND THE RETREAT &/OR HELP LEAD: This is a unique opportunity to lead with & beside one another. There is no requirement that you have been on the retreat before to lead. Leaders help one another prepare reflective talks, create space, plan rituals, and help buy snacks, of course! We will meet briefly a few times prior to the retreat. Students have called this a profound, yet relaxing weekend to be with one another in community, rest and conversation. Interested in joining? Interested in leading? Know someone who might be?
The AGAPE Retreat is a student led faith & justice retreat, designed to provide space and time for juniors and seniors to reflect, to have meaning-making conversations and to listen to the Spirit within them - as well as be encouraged and enlightened by peers.
It’s an opportunity to gather with peers for spiritual reflection and playful rest time.
You’ll be able to listen to talks by fellow juniors and seniors; to discern the questions on your horizons; and to gather with others to have conversations about love, identity, faith, discernment, resilience, and transformation.
Students of all faith traditions are encouraged and welcome.
We will be at Camp Burton on Vashon Island. Lovely waterside setting. Fun cabins. Places to walk and reflect in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
LEADER Cost: $50 (payment options available - email Marilyn)
