Campus Ministry is a place for students of all faith backgrounds and philosophical traditions. We hope you join us as we grow together and live as people for justice in our community.
Rooted in the Jesuit, Catholic tradition, Campus Ministry serves a vibrantly diverse, yet inclusive community of Seattle University students committed to exploring, understanding, and deepening a faith that does justice in their lives.
Regardless of one’s faith background – Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, and even “spiritual but not religious” – Campus Ministry provides an open and hospitable community to gather in friendship, conversation, discernment and understanding of what one’s purpose is in life. Opportunities abound – retreats, service, liturgy and worship, immersions, social justice education, reflection activities, etc. All are welcome!
Campus Ministry celebrates the gifts and talents of all our students and encourages each one of you to use these talents in a way that builds up the communities to which you belong on campus and in the world.
The Campus Ministry Team is here to support and encourage you as we all join in asking life’s big questions together. We sincerely hope that you will engage your academic, social, and spiritual experience to its fullest and come visit us in the Maguire Center for Campus Ministry on the first floor of the Student Center.
Director of Campus Ministry, 2014
Campus Ministry prepares and forms students to embody faith and justice through their lives by providing opportunities for spiritual growth, discernment, prayer, and community engagement.
The Office of Campus Ministry sponsors activities and programs for the cultivation of spirituality for a more just world. Campus Ministry invites each member of the community to participate in ways that nurture each person's own spiritual growth. The unique gifts and perspectives of each Campus Minister offer students many ways to engage: from addressing the needs of individuals through one-on-one pastoral counseling and spiritual direction to uniting with the larger community in worship, social justice, community service projects, and retreats.
We provide many opportunities for you to learn more about yourself, share your gifts and talents, and build community with others. In addition to a strong Catholic Campus Ministry, there are opportunities for all students: Protestants, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, those questioning, and those of strong faith. We invite you to come and find out more about us! All are welcome.
