Student Travel Authorization Form

Roles

Office of Student Life

The Office of Student Life approves student travel through the Student Travel Authorization Form. Often, the Office of Student Life works closely with the Student Government Association and President’s Diversity Fund to process such transactions.

Student Organization

All student travel on behalf of student organizations must be approved in advance by the Office of Student Life through the Student Travel Authorization Form via OrgSync. In addition, all participants are required to complete the authorization form prior to processing payments and reservations.

Students

Each individual student traveler must complete the Student Travel Authorization Form via OrgSync, which includes agreeing to the university Waiver of Responsibility and Student Code of Conduct. Student travelers are considered responsible adults and are held solely responsible for their conduct, safety, and behavior. As a representative of the institution, students are expected to conduct themselves in a manner deemed appropriate by CU Denver. As a reminder the student code of conduct is applicable on and off campus as specified in the University’s Student Handbook, which can be found at: http://www.ucdenver.edu/life/services/standards/Documents/CUDenver-CodeofConduct.pdf

Student Trip Leader

A student leader designated by the officers and/or members of the student organization must act as a liaison for student organization sponsored travel. The student trip leader oversees logistical matters alongside the Office of Student Life and works with other participants to ensure the Student Travel Authorization Form is completed in a timely manner. This individual also coordinates communication to the Office of Student Life in case of an emergency.
