Welcome to the Beta Beta chapter of Delta Delta Delta at Cal State Northridge!

Founded in 1888 at Boston University, Delta Delta Delta is committed to strengthening perpetual bonds of friendship among our members, developing a stronger and more womanly character and assisting our members in every possible way. As the first sorority established without the help of a man, Delta Delta Delta has cemented our place in history as a premier women’s organization. As Tri Delta women, we pride ourselves on sisterhood, service and principle, challenging our members to become the best version of themselves.

"Let us steadfastly love one another"

Description

Delta Delta Delta is known nationally for being one of the most prestigious sororities. Out of the 26 sororities that are part of the National Panhellenic Conference, Delta Delta Delta is ranked in the top 3. We are known as leaders in the Greek Community on a national level as well as on the CSUN campus. There are over 141 collegiate chapters of Delta Delta Delta, as well as multiple alumnae chapters throughout the United States, Canada and England. To date, Delta Delta Delta has over 238,000 initiated members, making it one of the most popular sororities. As Tri Deltas, we pride ourselves on being sophisticated, down-to-earth and classy women.

Philanthropy is a huge part of our chapter. Our philanthropy is children's cancer research. In 1999, Delta Delta Delta partnered with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital setting a goal of raising $10 million in 10 years. In only 4 short years we surpassed the goal of $10 million. During our National Convention in 2010, we pledged $15 million by 2015. We surpassed this goal and met the $15 million mark in only 3.5 years. At our 2014 National convention we pledged the single largest pledge by a St. Jude partner in history, $60 million in 10 years to name St. Jude's on campus short-term housing facility "Tri Delta Place." Families are never billed for their stay or treatment at St. Jude due to the belief that all they should have to worry about is helping their child survive.

On a local level, our chapter has decided to partner with the cancer research department at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). Seeing that CHLA is so close to Northridge, we are able to take monthly hospital visits and directly interact with patients. We have great plans for this upcoming school year and can't wait for it to begin!

Our local alumnae have founded the Delta Delta Delta Sleighbell Committee, which puts on a fundraising event every December with all proceeds benefiting CHLA. Our chapter's fundraising efforts include an annual Delta Desserts, Murder Mystery Night, and Sincerely Yours. We are proud to say that all proceeds from every fundraiser we host go directly to our philanthropic partners.

Last year we raised over $30,000 for our 3 philanthropic partners; St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Children's Hospital Los Angeles, and the Tri Delta Foundation.

The Tri Delta Foundation was founded to help Tri Delta members both during their collegiate lives and after. Membership in Tri Delta goes beyond the short years we spend in college; it lasts a lifetime! So many lessons are learned throughout our time in college and Tri Delta helps shape us into the women we want to be. Whether it is through philanthropic work, holding an officer position, or creating friendships that will last forever, our members continue to grow and excel.

We are actively involved on campus and have received multiple awards from Order of Omega, a Greek honor society. In addition, we were given the title of CSUN's Outstanding Sorority for both the 2014-2015 academic year and the 2015-2016 academic year. Out of all of CSUN's greek system, we are proud to say that we placed 1st in grades out of all Panhellenic Sororities and 3rd out of 50 greek organizations overall at Cal State Northridge for the Spring 2017 semester.

Many of our sisters serve as New Student Orientation leaders, are involved in Camp Kesem, and serve on CSUN's Associated Students. Our very own Leuwella Gonzalez founded Camp Kesem here on CSUN's campus!

As Tri Deltas, we love to have a great time! We host numerous social events. Every fall semester we have a themed date party, which is always a great event. Every spring semester we have our formal- The Stars & Crescent Ball. We have sisterhood events which range from private concerts in our living room to a night on the town in Santa Monica. We continue to have fun wherever we are!
