The Center for the Advancement of Leadership (CAL) trains UVU students to become leaders by approaching leadership development as more than simply management. The L.E.A.D. Program is a one or two year certification program that focuses on four key areas of personal development: Learn, Engage, Acquire, and Discover. Together, these areas ensure growth—both personally and professionally—while students are enrolled in our program.

LEAD Benefits

Upon completion of the LEAD Program, students receive either a Standard Leadership Certification (1-year program) or a High Leadership Distinction (2-year program).

Other Benefits include:

  • Recognition on official transcripts (High Distinction only)
  • Cords at graduation
  • Letter of Recommendation from The Center for the Advancement of Leadership
  • Certification from The Center for the Advancement of Leadership
  • End of Year Recognition Banquet

Attaining the Standard or High Distinction in Leadership sets graduates apart and enables them to get ahead in their careers. Additionally, the LEAD Program engages in academics, student life, and in the community.
